There is a significant injustice in the State of Israel: medical, paramedical and social services are being prevented from entire populations, often those who are at the highest risk of suffering from physical and psychological illnesses, because they lack official residency status. These people are being refused life-saving treatments, as well as follow-up care and essential treatments and tests.

Strongly believing that health is a basic human right, a Haifa based group of doctors, nurses, social workers and pharmacists established the "Ve'Ahavata" clinic, which aims to provide equal and quality health services, free of charge, to all who are being prevented basic and essential care in Israel in general, and in Haifa in particular.

The clinic - operated entirely on a voluntary basis - provides services to people who have been denied official residency in Israel as a result of displacement from the country of origin. Since the establishment of the clinic, the organization has become a provider of holistic health services to these marginalized groups. The clinic staff makes significant efforts to provide on a full voluntary basis all types of the required care and assistance. Every person seeking help is welcome, with open arms, and with the full intention of providing the best answer.

The clinic's core team recruited a large and diverse assembly of professionals who volunteer their time and expertise in the clinic as needed. These include the best professionals and services providers in their field - hospital department heads, first-class laboratory services, imaging and radiology services and even hospitalization - all on a voluntary or subsidized basis.
